"Esperanza" is the Spanish word for hope. The vision of founders Miguel and Desi is to offer hope through art to women rescued in vulnerable situations. EsperanzArt creates jewelry which is made by girls and women, some of them young moms who may be trying to complete high school, who are able to gain confidence through learning a new skill and earn money for them and their families. The girls learn job skills such as time management, saving money, working hard, and setting goals. The workshops allow them to continue their academic studies, develop positive friendships, and begin to trust that God truly loves them and desires to give them a future filled with hope and purpose. The jewelry workshop is located within Casa Adalia, a home for girls rescued from or at risk of human trafficking. Casa Adalia is part of ESME: End Slavery Ministries Ecuador.
The jewelry is all made from different natural seeds and beads proceeding from Latin America.
