WHO WE ARE
End Slavery Ministries Ecuador
Is a training workshop offered two mornings each week at Casa Adalia for vulnerable young women ages 18-26. Through the art of jewelry making and individual mentoring, the young women are able to identify and accomplish personal goals while learning vocational life skills. The jewelry is created from natural seeds and tagua, a unique vegetable ivory produced in Ecuador. The atmosphere is relaxed. The young women, some young moms, chat about life, ask questions, laugh and smile. Each week they hear a message of hope and truth from God's word.
“If she has a problem, even a small one, we want to be there to listen and encourage and help her make better decisions. This could make all the difference for her to remain free of the only life she knew, a life she lived without choice in order to survive.” -- Desiree Treur Zova
With money received from creating the jewelry, two sisters saved enough to buy their mother a washing machine! The workshop allows the young women to continue their academic studies, develop positive friendships, and begin to trust that God truly loves them and desires to give them a future filled with hope and purpose.
